Sometimes I dream of a home unfamiliar to me...
While Opal may be known as an orphan, a high school dropout, a skeptic working part-time as a cashier, her foremost identity is as a protector, yearning for a brighter future for her young sibling, Jasper. They reside in Eden, Kentucky, a place only notable for its misfortunes and the elusive 19th-century writer E. Starling, who penned The Underland and vanished over a century ago.
The remnants of her life? Ominous whispers and her old abode. The general consensus: stay away from the eerie mansion and its elusive heir, Arthur. However, Opal isn't one to always follow consensus.
The dream draws me in, and I don't pull away.
Ever since her childhood, The Underland has captivated Opal's imagination. Offered an opportunity to explore the enigmatic Starling House and add to Jasper's getaway fund, she's lured in.
Yet, malevolent powers are unearthing Starling House's buried past, and Arthur’s disturbing dreams seem increasingly tangible. As Eden appears consumed by its specters, Opal discovers she may have stumbled upon a purpose to remain.
In the dream, I feel at home.
And she's prepared to stand her ground.
Step into the Starling House: but proceed with caution.
