The book tells the story of an Orphan, Harry Potter, he was reluctantly taken in by his Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia, as harsh and mean as can be, who do not hesitate to make him sleep in the closet just below the stairs of the house. A victim of constant bullying, he also has to put up with the incessant whining of his cousin Dudley, a greedy and insufferable child who gets everything he wants from his parents.
From their perspective, Vernon and Petunia despise their nephew, as his unpredictability reminds them too much of their volatile and mysterious parents, not to mention his unexplained death.
Despite his approaching eleventh birthday, Harry doesn't expect anything out of the ordinary: no card, no gift, or even a birthday party. However, that's when he discovers that he is the child of two powerful wizards and that he has equally extraordinary powers.
Listening to Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone audiobook. Throughly entertaining.

The audiobook of 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone' is a magical journey that transcends the boundaries of age and time. Narrated with a captivating charm, the audiobook brings to life the enchanting world of Hogwarts and its memorable characters. The story, a perfect blend of mystery and fantasy, is a delightful listen that keeps you hooked from start to finish. The internal dialogues of Harry, which are missed in the movies, add a depth to his character and make the listening experience more intimate.
However, the audiobook is not without its flaws. The safety measures at Hogwarts, or the lack thereof, can sometimes seem unrealistic. The world-building, while detailed and immersive, can feel tedious for those who have already seen the movies. Lastly, the characters of Draco Malfoy and Snape can come across as stereotypical villains, with their motivations seeming a bit too obvious.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the audiobook remains a compelling listen that will transport you to a world of magic and wonder.
