He broke the guild's rules to save her, and the bill is arriving

Ken got Selene out of the worst of it by doing something the guilds do not forgive: he reached into her chest and pulled the Threadspawn out himself, which worked, and which also left the two of them standing in front of the Harem Queen covered in blood. Selene lives. Almost everything else gets worse, because the shortcut he took to save her put him on the wrong side of the UG, and a guild that has decided you are a problem can make an adventurer's life very small.

What follows is a lot of people with long memories deciding to collect. The heirs of the UG's founding families put Ken and Crimson in their sights, assassins begin hunting Elysara, and a long-running thread finally pays off when Eyes of Wisdom locates the route to Felin's people, with the complication that the route runs through several thousand Drow who are expecting company. None of this arrives in a manageable order.

It is the eleventh Dungeon Diving novel, and it is a progression fantasy that assumes you have been keeping up rather than one that reintroduces itself. Twelve hours and nine minutes, narrated by Christopher Boucher and Jessica Threet. Adult content throughout.

The series keeps expanding, and the cast still gets the short end

Eleven books in, this series has settled into a rhythm that its audience clearly likes: escalating scope, escalating numbers, and a protagonist whose competence keeps attracting larger problems. The new instalment is one of the better ones, mostly because the author has started doing something he used to skip, which is giving the supporting cast room to be people rather than a roster. Christopher Boucher and Jessica Threet handle the duet narration cleanly, and twelve hours passes quickly.

The worldbuilding is the strongest element and it is why the series has legs. Sentar keeps opening the map rather than resetting it: this volume pushes into demon territory, develops the Threadspawn thread that has been running underneath everything, and finally makes progress on the dark elves, which long-term listeners have been waiting for. The chapter structure is good for audio, with clear beats and enough recapping of abilities that a listener who has two months between instalments does not get lost. That sounds like a small thing and it is not: most long progression series become unlistenable around book nine for exactly this reason.

The narration has grown into the material. Boucher has a light, slightly sardonic delivery that suits Ken without making him a comedian, and Threet's sections have become more distinct over the series rather than blending into the same register. Sex scenes in this genre are usually where a production falls apart, and this one handles them without the awkwardness that makes them funny for the wrong reasons.

My reservation is the harem architecture itself, and it is not new. Several books in, the female characters have a habit of being introduced with real promise and then fading into the background once the relationship is established, which means the cast grows while the number of people who actually matter stays roughly constant. A Goodreads reviewer put this more sharply than I will, describing the series as taking interesting concepts and running them through a flat protagonist and female characters who are eventually forgotten or reduced to a type, held together by violence and fan service. I would not be that harsh, because this instalment genuinely does more character work than the last one and the plot threads are being tended rather than abandoned, but the structural criticism stands: if you are reading these for the relationships, you will notice that the relationships are not the part that gets developed.

Content notes, because the series is explicit about what it is: this is adult harem fiction with explicit sex, violence played for entertainment, and a progression system that assumes an appetite for numbers. Nothing here is darker than the genre's baseline, and none of it is pretending otherwise.

For listeners who are already eleven books in, this is a strong entry and easy to recommend. If you are considering the series, start at the beginning: nothing here is built to be a jumping-on point. For the same hunger for escalating dungeons and systems, the site's He Who Fights with Monsters and The Primal Hunter are the obvious neighbours on this shelf.

Dungeon Diving 303 is the eleventh novel in Bruce Sentar's Dungeon Diving series, and this is the unabridged English audio edition running 12 hrs and 9 mins, performed by Christopher Boucher and Jessica Threet and released on October 7, 2026. It is a progression fantasy and it is written for an adult audience.

The series follows Ken as he works his way up a dungeon system with a growing party, and this volume deals with the consequences of a rescue he performed in a way the guilds consider unacceptable. It is written as a continuing story rather than a set of standalone adventures, so the earlier books are the place to begin.

The free trial works the same way on every service: you take the month, you spend it on whichever single title you choose, and whatever you pick stays in your library even if you cancel before it renews. At twelve hours this is a quick entry for a series of this length, and it is well suited to listening in instalments.
